Work involved: Exterior rendering and decorative mouldings with complete interior rendering and decorative moulding work for hotel conversion into luxury apartments.
F.H Crocker & Co were contacted for the exterior and interior restoration of The Grand Hotel within Plymouth. The historic building was to be restored to its former glory and converted into luxury apartments.
The, once famous, hotel had hosted the likes of royalty in it's past and to some, had placed Plymouth on the map for luxury hotels. Although the hotel itself had been vacant since it was ravaged by fire in 2003, the new development is to bring new life into the former hotel.
A solid design brief was put in place to save original features of the hotel, with plans of restoring the building as the development progresses. Through research and a thorough study of the existing features, our expert craftsmen replicated and restored the exterior decorative mouldings, whilst within the interior of the building, each room and stairwell was designed and restored to accompany the stunning period features.
